We had a 4 day stay at Domes and now wish we had stayed a lot longer. The beach is perfect for young children as it is a bay with no waves and shallow for a good 10 metres, allowing the kids to fill their buckets and pick shells with little help. The golf buggies are an excellent idea - especially with children, buckets, towels, armbands etc. The staff were excellent, very helpful and always polite. We will definitely be coming back here - it is a lovely 5 star hotel with all the luxuries but with a relaxed laid back atmosphere.

Most beautiful location with lovely views from the beach with its olive trees and warm blue sea. The villa/room was pleasant with lovely views and a jacuzzi which wasnt too great a success, likewise the jacuzzi bath in the bathroom. Lots of children enjoying themselves so not for those who are looking for peace and quiet and I agree that the background music was not needed and too loud. Overall the food was good and the staff pleasant especially the native Greeks. Flowers bloomed, the sun shone and I would recommend the Domes.

We have just got back from a 10 day stay at the Domes. What a fantastic holiday we have had.It was even better than expected. The location was magical. Emma greeted us and made us feel very relaxed, she took us to our suite and explained every thing we needed to know. The suite was beautiful, well maintained & kept very clean by our lovely & very friendly housemaids. We had a large balcony with plenty of chairs & table. Balcony no 2 had our out door Jacuzzi which we loved & used a lot. We had wonderful views of the sea & Spinalonga. The restaurant was excellent as was the food. A wide and varied selection to choose from. We had intended to go out on a few nights. But we enjoyed the restaurant so much and were looked after so well by the staff and Nikos the Maitre d That we stayed and dined in the hotel. The beach was so relaxing, loungers comfortable just by the water edge under the shade of the trees. I must also say how pleasant the young men were who drove the golf buggies. Another luxury to save you having to walk. We shall definitely return to the Domes and would be happy to recommend this 5 STAR Hotel to everyone.

We have just returned from a week at the Domes and what a great time we had. We had a Premium suite with pool and we loved every minute of it. The view of the bay was fantastic and we loved having an early evening drink on the terrace of the bar, overlooking Spinalonga. Staff extremely friendly and always helpful. We look forward to returning in the future.

I cannot fault the staff of the hotel who were friendly, helpful and professional. The rooms and the hotel were spotless and well maintained. My only complaint is that the background music was rather intrusive. I would have preferred the volume to be lower.

From the moment that we arrived at Domes of Elounda when our Customer Service Executive, Emma, greeted us and shared a chat and a glass of champagne on the fabulous deck overlooking Spinalonga, until the moment we left, the overall experience was fantastic. The staff were all friendly - from the cute little chef in the first class main restaurant to the housemaids that placed fresh roses on our beds every morning and evening - they really made our stay very special. Many an hour was spent resting and reading on the private beach nestled next to the little olive grove. We loved walking ten feet away to the restaurant on the beach enjoying the view, the great food and excellent selection of wines. Would we return to Domes of Elounda again - in a heartbeat!

We stayed for a week at the end of May, wanting time to simply chill out. Domes was the perfect hotel to choose; we had a sea view suite with what must be one of the most beautiful views in the world. The room was comfortable & well-equipped; nice bathroom supplied with excellent Korres organic products & we made daily use of the hot tub on the balcony. Only criticism was the dodgy-looking wall-mounted electrical socket in the bathroom. The staff were unfailingly friendly & helpful; the check-in was nicely-handled, with a welcoming glass of local fizz. Food at the hotel was generally very good; breakfast an extensive buffet choice, lunch down at the beach at the 1910,perfect for seafood & salad, likewise the bar for a baguette. We ate out in the evening, in Plaka, which was an easy walk, or got a cab to Elounda. Although local restaurants werent exactly cheap, they were cheaper than the hotel & just as good. We really liked the design & location of Domes & would definately return.

We spent a week over the Easter break at Domes of Elounda and we had a fantastic time. Despite our long delay getting to the resort, once we arrived, we were well looked after and received a great upgrade to a 2 bed suite with a pool and jacuzzi. Unfortunately, the weather was dreadful most of the week; only around 14 degrees so we didnt get to use the pool etc. but we still managed to have a relaxing time. The kids club was fantastic and our children went most mornings for a couple of hours so we were able to use the gym and spa etc. The food was absolutely fine and great for families as it was a buffet and instant! Spinalonga was wonderful as was Plaka. We would definitely return to the resort and highly recommend it for families!

Having visited many excellent hotels, Domes of Elounda is our favourite. We loved the architecture and design elements, and the views are superb. During our 10 day stay the hotel was full, with both couples and families visiting, but the whole place had a peaceful, calm and relaxing feel - just what we needed. The rooms and all facilites were excellent, including the spa and restaurants (our favourite was Topos 1910)- we loved everything. The customer focus and service is worthy of special comment - it is outstanding though unobtrusive, easily the best we have come across anywhere. The staff are without exeption pleasant, friendly and helpful, going to great lengths to ensure that everything you need is there - even things you havent thought yourself! We dont usually return to the same place, but we will make an exception for the Domes. Its a wonderful place, and we wouldnt hesitate to recommend it to anyone wanting a classy and restful holiday in a beautiful location.

We really needed our holiday to be a totally relaxing experience and Domes of Elounda came up trumps. From the moment we arrived, the staff and management of the Domes were entirely focused on us and our wellbeing. The impeccable service provided was both unobtrusive and personal, and is a key reason why we would come back to this particular hotel in this beautiful region of East Crete. The ingenious architectural design of the whole complex has been meticulously planned so that from a distance the resort blends naturally and almost invisibly into the landscape, aided by the sympathetic natural pastel external colouring of the buildings and the beautiful and extensive linear gardens which are found everywhere within the grounds. There are unparallelled views of the bay and Kalydon(Spinalonga)island from the location and as an added bonus the Domes exudes an air of quiet calm and perfect peace, despite it apparently being fully booked at the time of our stay. We will return.

Fantastic ! It sums it up - Elounda is so friendly. The former leper colony island of spinalonga is well worth a visit. The village is just large enough and not too touristy and it is only a short hop away to agios nicolias. The Domes of Elounda itself was brilliant - both the main restaurant and gourmet restaurant were a delight to eat in. The staff are so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Our children also adored the pool !! 5* and would recommend to all...

We spent a magical week at Domes of Elounda. Its hard to describe just how special this hotel is and what a wonderful, romantic, experience it is to stay there. The hotel is in a beautiful setting; our room had a magnificent view of the sea, the island of Spinalonga and the hills which surround the bay. The design of the hotel, lots of little buildings with domes dotted on the hillside (with golf buggies on hand at all times to take you back up to your room via pretty cobbled pathways!) means that there are lovely views everywhere. One of my favourite things to do was to get up early and sit on our terrace by the private pool and watch the sun rising over the hills. An incredibly peaceful time and place - no sounds other some farm dogs barking in the distance and the occasional bee buzzing past. Bliss! The hotel has lovely restaurants and breakfasting outside overlooking the bay was a really nice way to start the day. We ate in both the main restaurant and in the gourmet restaurant in the evening and the food and service were excellent. After dinner it was a pleasure to relax in the bar which had some gorgeous furniture and enjoy a cocktail - the barmen were really friendly. We didnt use the spa as the weather was so nice that we preferred to enjoy the beach but we did have a look round and it is beautiful and serene. The hotel is so nice that its tempting not to leave, but the little village of Plaka is a pleasant walk away and has some nice little bars to enjoy a cool drink and watch the world go by. A visit to Spinalonga is a must-do; it was fascinating. We hired a car and Aghios Nikolaos and Elounda are also pleasant places to visit. This was one of our best holiday experiences ever and we would go back in a heartbeat......

The location is wonderful. Secluded, but with our own patch of private beach, we really did want for nothing. The views were breathtaking, and the pools crystal clear. Elounda is charming, but you barely feel you need to leave this mini town that is the resort. We made time for a game of tennis, but only so we could justify an additional delicious Cretian desert, Clean, elegant lines give a simple and classic finish to this 5* resort. Using the spa was the utter indulgence. I can recommend the massage. The food was blissful. Sunny lunches with the shade of the trees, and crisp linen. Order a chilled class of Cretan white and toast to a return visit! Of course this place has its own Michelin-starred-chef! Of course it does. Tuck happily in, its wonderful. Pack a laid back attitude, and your favourite book. But be warned, you can find yourself getting incredibly lazy here, or lets say relaxed... you simply wont want to leave.

I have been meaning to write a review since returning from the Domes Resort in September. Without doubt the best holiday I have ever had. We stayed in a one bedroom premium suite with a private pool. We did not use our lounge area too much but the double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and jacuzzi bath was exceptional, like the entire resort everything from the service in the restaurants and bar to the chaps who cart you to and from your suite was faultless. Highlight of the holiday? So many to choose from but the private in-suite dining was a truly memorable experience especially as Domes and its managment team went that extra yard for me because I had pre warned them about my engagment plans. The four course fish meal went without a hitch and Michelle said yes so that was a bonus as well! Other highlights; the private pool and our own loungers (there was no reason for us to leave our suite), another stunning meal at the Pier Restaurant, private beach and incredibly warm sea. We had the most relaxing seven night holiday you can imagine, just what we were looking for. We could have done so many things, like play tennis on the Domes court or taken a boat over to Spinalonga island but we chose to laze by our pool day after day.....I have never read so many books! A last point, Elounda, just 2.5km away is well worth a visit. It was just 7€ in a taxi and makes for a change of scenery of an evening, some great restaurants serving fresh fish and there are numerous shops to explore during the day. The perfect holiday, we are already looking at going there next year for our honeymoon, might even get a villa this time!!!!

We have just returned from a 7 night stay at Domes of Elounda with our 2 children 11 & 8 years. I can only describe this hotel as the perfect family retreat! The hotel is situated on a beautiful sandy beach with crystal clear gently shelving sea with breath taking views of Spinalonga Island to the left and the bay of Elounda to the right. The location is perfect, a 15 minute walk will bring you to the traditional village of Plaka with sea front restaurants and tavernas or a short taxi ride to Elounda (7 euros each way). The kids club is situated on the beach side, Tonia does a fantastic job of ensuring the kids are safe and entertained. We had a luxury family suite with private pool, which was perfect for a family, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a lounge and huge terrace with un-interrupted views of Spinalonga with our own private pool - house keeping came twice daily with fresh towels and cleaning service. The main pool area is very well maintained with fresh towels as often as required, a large adult pool plus very good size child pool. We were booked on Half Board and took breakfast in the main restaurant, a sumptuous buffet for breakfast with the choice of hot or cold dishes, try the chefs omelette made to order for you - delicious! The choice for dinner was huge with different options available most nights. The Tholos & Pier 1910 were also very good, the quality of food in these restaurants was very good and not over priced. The personalised service from the manager Savas and his team is afforded to every guest which makes every guest feel very special, nothing is a trouble to them. We have travelled to many 5-Star hotels around the world but this has to be the best deluxe family hotel we have found and will certainly be going back soon. My only regret is we only stayed for 7 nights, we really wished we had booked to stay longer!

Just got back from a 4 night stay at Domes. After reading all the great reviews on the internet we had high expectations and I must say we were not let down at all! From the champagne welcome to the friendly staff throughout the hotel everything was taken care of. You can call golf carts to take you up to your rooms or take you to/from the beach by just pressing a button to call the cart or calling reception. The main pool was very quiet and a great place to chill out in the sun. The beach is quite small but has a grassy area as well as the beach and for those with kids there was a kids club down here. We had a 1 Bedroom Premium Suite with outdoor Jacuzzi high up in the resort which was extremely comfortable and had an excellent appearance. The bed was very comfortable! We opted for B&B board as we like to go out and eat at local tavernas at night of which there was a handful in the nearby village of Plaka or a little further afield was Elounda. We would definately return to Domes again and would be sure that anyone else would like it too!
